The hunt is on! In honor of 811 Day, Oregon 811 is celebrating with a virtual treasure hunt! Embark on this digital adventure starting July 29, 2024, and make your way through the map by answering a new safe digging question each week. Participants who answer all five questions correctly will be entered to win one of three $50 Amazon gift cards. Contest Terms & Conditions
Oregon 811 Treasure Hunt Contest
Eligibility:
The contest is open to legal residents of Oregon who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Oregon 811, their family members, and individuals living in the same household are not eligible to participate.
Contest Period:
The contest begins on July 29, 2024, and ends September 3, 2024. Weekly trivia questions will be posted each Monday starting on July 29 through August. Entries for each of the five weekly trivia questions must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. PT on the September 3. Winners will be announced on September 4.
How to Enter:
To be entered to win, entrants must submit a correct answer to all five (5) safe digging questions by 11:59 p.m. PT on September 3, 2024. Each Monday starting July 29, a link to a trivia question will be hosted individually via Google Forms, and the links to each form will be available at digsafelyoregon.com/treasure-hunt. Complete each Google form by providing your answer to the trivia question, your contact information (used to identify and notify winners), and your city of residence to confirm you are an Oregon resident.
Entrants who answer all five (5) trivia questions correctly will be eligible to be selected as a winner. If no entrants answer all five questions correctly, those with four correct answers will be eligible. To be eligible to win, participation is required.
Prize:
On September 4, 2024, three (3) winners will be selected to receive a $50 Amazon gift card. A total of one prize will be awarded per winner. Entrants who answer all five (5) trivia questions correctly will be eligible to be selected as a winner, and winners will be selected at random from the eligible entries. Winners will be notified via the contact information provided on the Google form. Winners will also be announced on the Oregon 811 social media pages. Prizes will be delivered via mail or email, as appropriate.
General Conditions:
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of Oregon 811, which are final and binding in all respects. Oregon 811 reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates these official rules or engages in any conduct that Oregon 811 deems to be harmful or unfair. Oregon 811 is not responsible for any technical issues or other problems that may interfere with or impair an entrant’s ability to participate in the contest. By accepting a prize, winners agree to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Entrants release Oregon 811 and all associated parties from any liability or claims arising from participation in the contest or the receipt or use of the prize.
Privacy:
Any personal information collected during the course of the contest will be used in accordance with Oregon 811’s privacy policy and will not be shared with third parties. Information collected from entrants is subject to Oregon 811’s privacy policy, which can be found on our website.
Limitation of Liability:
By participating in the contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Oregon 811 and its affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any and all liability, loss, or damage incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of any prize.
Disputes:
Except where prohibited, entrants agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Oregon. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these official rules, entrants’ rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Oregon 811 in connection with the contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Oregon, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.
